Kingsley Obiora - Expert in Central Banking and Public Policy

Kingsley Obiora is an economist, financial strategist, and public policy expert whose career has involved leadership in central banking and international economic governance. Over the years, Kingsley Obiora has established himself as an authority on monetary policy, financial sector development, digital currencies, and macroeconomic analysis.

Between 2014 and 2018, Kingsley Obiora served as special adviser to the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria on economic matters. In this role, he directed analytical and policy initiatives concerning both domestic and global economic developments. He prepared policy briefs, speeches, and strategic presentations while contributing to important reforms in development financing and financial market regulation.

Between 2018 and 2020, Dr. Obiora served as an alternate executive director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). His work contributed to policy reforms and strengthened institutional governance within one of the world's most influential financial organizations. He represented 23 African countries on the IMF Executive Board.

In 2020, he was appointed deputy governor for economic policy at the Central Bank of Nigeria. During his tenure, there he supervised core departments responsible for research, statistics, monetary policy, financial markets, and risk management while leading a team of more than a thousand professionals, including more than a hundred PhD economists.
